We spoke with Dan yesterday for just a few minutes. It was good to hear his voice. He said he has not been at a base since Nov 7th. That's a long time to go out in the desert living out of your vehicle. He said they fly fuel in to them via helecopter. He was in good spirits but said it is cold and rainy. I asked how they stay dry at night. He said they have a tent they set up next to their vehicle. He said he did get our package with warm socks and was grateful for them. He wasn't able to talk with us for more than just a couple of minutes and said he had to go. It had been 10 days since we had heard from him. He thought he could call later this week.
